About Me
As a Doctor of Medicine, my education and training was focused on how the human body works. As a practicing and Board Certified Anesthesiologist, I have an intimate understanding of human biochemistry. In my medical practice, I’ve been witness to a sole focus on treating chronic disease, particularly at the later stages of disease.
Preventative medicine does not get the focus it deserves, and it is only recently coming into vogue.
I had my own epiphany when I was expecting my son. I had grown overweight, weak, and listless. I realized that I was slowly setting myself on the path for the same chronic diseases that I saw debilitating my patients. This was unacceptable. So I set out to reclaim my body.
I combed through the medical, nutritional, and exercise literature and developed my own plan to pursue my own longevity goals. With this focused effort I was able to completely change my body. I proved this to myself with body composition analysis via serial DEXA scanning. I was able to go from 171 pounds to 145 pounds, shedding 26 pounds of pure fat. See my results below:
There are as many strategies available online as there are coaches and influencers. VERY few of them have a medical background like I do. It is very easy to become lost, and then unmotivated. I have parsed through the chaos and have settled on a simple, pragmatic, and scientific approach to cultivating the body and my mind.
